Note: The last time I made this I didn't have any brown sugar. You can substitute 1/2 C sugar and 1 T molasses for brown sugar. I ended up using 2 T of molasses and 1/2 C sugar. I think it turned out better than just using plain 'ol brown sugar.

Note from 9/11/2012--I tried this recipe today with 1/2 C molasses instead of 1/2 C brown sugar. It wasn't quite as sweet as I wanted. Next time i'm going to try 1/4 C molasses and 1/4 C brown sugar.

Note from 10/22/12 --I tried this recipe today with 1/4 C Brown sugar and 1/4 C Molasses. Was definately better than the 1/2 C of molasses. Sweeter, for sure. Next time I'm going to use 1/2 C Brown Sugar and see if I prefer that. No jalapeno this time, just a habanero and a serrano. The heat is wonderful. Next time i'd like to try it without the Serrano. Curious about the flavor the habanero gives the dish. I'd also like to try beef stew meat instead of the ground beef, and transferring it to the crockpot to cook all day.

1 LB Ground Beef
1 Medium Onion, Chopped
5 Cloves Garlic, Minced
6 Roma Tomatoes, Chopped
1 Habanero, Chopped
2 Jalapenos, Chopped
8 oz Tomato Sauce
1/2 C Brown Sugar
1/2 t Black Pepper
1/2 T Cumin
1 T Chili Powder
1 t Garlic Salt
1 t Onion Salt
1 t Seasoned Salt
2 (15 oz) Cans Chili Beans

Sauté ground beef with onion and garlic. Stir in remaining ingredients, bring to boil. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. The longer you simmer the better it gets.
