DIY Sugar & Olive Oil Scrub



3 T Oil
2 T Honey
1/2 C Sugar

Mix ingredients in a small bowl. scrub scrub scrub.

do not refrigerate leftovers.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup



4 C Diced Potatoes
1/2 C Diced Carrot
1/2 Onion, Chopped
1 C Diced Ham
3 1/2 C Water
2 T Chicken Bullion Granules
1/2 t Salt
1 t Pepper
5 T Butter or Oil
5 T Flour
2 C Milk
5 Slices Cheddar Cheese, Diced

Combine potatoes, carrots, onion, ham, water, bullion, salt, and pepper in a large stock pot. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Meanwhile, melt butter in a pan. Stir in flour and whisk until smooth and no lumps remain. Stir constantly for a minute or two, then add milk in slowly. Whisk until smooth. Add cheese, small amounts at a time until melted completely.

Add milk mixture to soup. Stir to combine, serve immediately.

3 Eggs
3/4 C Sugar
3 C Flour

Preheat oven to 350F. Beat eggs in a large bowl. Add sugar and mix well. Mix in flour until dough forms. Form dough into biscuit/cookie size pieces. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until done.

I think this would be good with almond extract!

Marla's Chocolate Almond Balls

Ingredients

  • 2 (16-ounce) boxes confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1 (14-ounce) package shredded coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
  • 2 (12-ounce) package chocolate chips

Directions

Cream together sugar and butter in a bowl; add milk. Stir in almond extract, coconut, and nuts; mix well. Form candy into 1-inch balls. Place on waxed paper and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Melt chocolate in top of double boiler, stirring well. Remove from heat but allow chocolate to remain over hot water. (If chocolate becomes too thick, return to heat for a minute or so to thin). With a toothpick, dip each ball in chocolate and place on waxed paper until set.

Cream Cheese Corn

3lbs Whole Kernel Corn, Cooked
1/2 C Butter
1 (8oz) PKG Cream Cheese

Combine the corn, butter or margarine and the cream cheese in a medium sized saucepan. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Serve hot.

White Peppermint Hot Chocolate



6 C Vanilla Almond Milk
2 C Heavy Whipping Cream
1 t Vanilla
1 (12 oz) PKG White Chocolate Chips
3 Candy Canes
Candy Canes and Whipped Cream, for Garnish

Combine milk, whipping cream, vanilla, white chocolate chips, and 3 candy canes in a crockpot.

Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.

Serve with whipped cream and a candy cane.

Crock Pot Cola Ham


4lb Fully Cooked Ham
1/2 C Brown Sugar, Packed
1 T Mustard
2 (12oz) Cans Regular Coca-Cola (NOT DIET), about 3 cups

Pour coca cola in the bottom of a crockpot.

Lightly score ham in diagonal lines first one way, then crosswise, to form a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut any deeper than about a eighth of an inch. (You can score both sides if you like).

Make a paste of brown sugar and mustard

Rub paste into ham on sides that have been lightly scored.

Transfer to crock pot. Cook on low 7-8 hours.

Amber's Gingersnaps

3/4 C Shortening
1 C Sugar
1 Egg
2 t Baking Soda
1 t Ginger
1 t Cloves
1 t Cinnamon
1/2 t Salt
1/4 C Molasses

Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Mix thoroughly. Add dry. Roll dough into balls and roll them in sugar. Refrigerate for 10-15min. Bake at 350F for 15min.

Baked Apples

4 Apples
1/2 C Brown Sugar/Brown Sugar Splenda
4 T Butter
2 t Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350F

Scoop out the core from top of the apple, leaving a well. Do not cut all the way through.

Stuff each apple with 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter.

Place in a shallow baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, until sugar begins to caramelize and apples are tender.

Easy, Elegant Macaroons



1 C Pecans
1 C Coconut
1 Egg
1 t Almond Extract
1/3 C Sugar/Splenda

Preheat oven to 350F. Grind pecans until finely ground. In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.

Drop by packed tablespoon full onto cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes.
